BAM! The Panda room shakes again to the sound of bombastic Hip Hop Saturday 25th Feb when Pandamonium Records presents Hip Hop X-plosion. Solemn Prophets, who wowed the crowd at the Funkoars show last week will be back in full force on the Panda Room stage this Saturday night along with Basement Grits, Tombstone, Dice and a whole bunch of special guest MC’s. The Panda Room is located at the Cape York Hotel car Spence & Bunda st. Doors Open 7.30pm, Donation Entry, 18+

Guttermouth to play the Panda Room Sat 4th Jan

The Pandamonium room at the Cape York hotel kicks off it’s 2012 season with a blast this Saturday night when U.S punk legends Guttermouth play the venue. For the Cairns show, supports will be local lads Jobstopper, and Fire Away from Townsville. The US Punk Rock legends have been playing all over the world, from tours in Japan, to tours within their American homeland, abusing stages with acts like Strung Out and Pennywise. After another round trip on the punk rock circuit the Guttermouth crew thought it was time they got back to a place they all love – Australia. This will be Guttermouth’s final show of this tour and they jet off to Japan the following day. Fans are advised to get tickets fast as numbers are strictly limited. Tickets available at Tastey Records in Grafton st for $28 or at the door if any are available. The show is 18+

Tis the season to be heathen on the 10th of December when we present HUMBUG, the Pandamonium Room Xmas Party. The Panda room doors blast open at 5pm with 7 fantastic bands & MCs. Pandamonium and the Cape York Hotel are paying for sound and lighting and it will be donation entry with all door takings going directly to bands (please support them!). If this works, we are considering running more Panda room gigs like this. The Lineup is:- Harbinger (new prog metal band feat ex locotus members), Solemn Prophets, Enemies Closer, Almost A Square, The Brown Note Theory, Basement Grits, Jobstopper + special guest appearances. In a rut? sick of same ol same ol friday night in front of the TV? Always saying that you should go out and see some local live music but never do? Well, it’s time to get off your arse/couch and Come Out And Play at the Panda room.
