The first official Panda Room gig of the year kicks off on February 18th when Pandamonium Records presents ‘BOATCHELLA’ which will see artists from all over North QLD from Townsville to Port Douglas converge on the Panda Room for an eclectic night of stellar original music.

Tickets only $25. Tickets strictly limited to 150. BYO Alcohol & Esky. Delcious hot food will be available on the night at Big Trev’s (The Souvlaki is amazing!)

Doors 6.00pm, bands start 6.30pm. Plenty of cover for bands and audience if rain.

Finding Time

Finding Time are comprised of a bunch of seasoned players who got together to have some fun and play a few gigs. The Band released their original track “King Of The World” at the Pandamonium Records studio for the Northern Exposure 2021 compilation. Finding Time are fronted by the mega talented Steve Williams, a guy with a knack for writing melodies that Neil Finn would sell his left nut for!

Benny & The Clones (Port Douglas)

Born out of a mutual love of music, beer, party pies and sausage rolls, The Clones have been playing original music in Tropical North Queensland for the better part of a decade. The band consists of the core trio of Port Douglas-based friends Ben Radford (Guitar, Lead Vox) Ben Kuring (Drums) and Dale Priem (Guitar), and various special guests depending on the occasion – usually on bass. Accolades include winning the People’s Choice award in the 2008 Douglas Songwriting contest, third prize in the 2015 Port Douglas Street Art and Music Festival competition, airplay on Triple J, and seventh place in the inaugural Port Douglas Muso Hot Dog Eating Contest last year.

Carinda Christie Band (Tablelands)

Carinda Christie is a seasoned performer with over 30 years of experience. 5 albums of mainly originals. With her big soulful voice and acoustic and slide guitars, Keyboard , ukelele and stomp box performing with her band playing all originals for the Panda Room gig. This is Carinda’s first Panda Room gig and Carinda always plays an entertaining set, don’t miss it!

Hidden Pillars (Townsville)

Making the journey up from Townsville to Play The Panda Room are th awesome Hidden Pillars. Hidden Pillars are an exciting three-piece rock outfit, floating their way through the indie, math, and alternative subgenres, while expertly infusing flavours of blues and pop into their music.

Following the release of their highly anticipated debut EP ‘How Did I Get Here?’, the band look ahead to 2023 and gear up for the release of fresh, boundary-pushing and genre-bending tracks that will further expand their impressive discography.

The Brazilians (Gordonvale)

The De facto Panda Room house band (well it’s their P.A and lighting rig powering the gig, and the venue is their drummers fast food shop!) The band will of course be playing their new single ‘The Flower Children That Refuse To Wilt’ check it out on Youtube.
