Rob Howe and The Guillotines
Indie-Rock outfit, ‘Rob Howe & The Guillotines’ are a new supergroup on the scene comprising of Cairns locals Rob Howe, Tullara Connors, M Sanjay Jude, and Jack Brant. Rob Howe, is best known for his work with UK band Polarsets who were seen showcasing at events such as BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend, SXSW and as support to Interpol. Now with his focus solely on his new project, ‘Rob Howe & The Guillotines’; he is ready to showcase this killer lineup as they release new music throughout 2022.
A blend of Indie-Rock, Alternative (think The Gaslight anthem, the killers, the war on drugs), and music grounded in stories inspired by travels through the West Australian wilderness, South America, and spending 6 x months in lockdown in a little cottage in County Durham, ‘Rob Howe & The Guillotines weave catchy vocals and memorable melodies through rich arrangements – instantly engaging and begging to be heard again and again.
The Brazilians
The De facto Panda Room house band (well it’s their P.A and lighting rig powering the gig, and the venue is their drummers fast food shop!) The Brazilians were borne in the pubs nestled amongst the Mulgrave Delta cane fields of deep far north Queensland. The band got their start playing loud and proud, the twin guitar attack of Macalpine & Williams competing against the industrial din of the Gordonvale sugar mill pumping 24/7 across the road from their gigs.

Meat Bikini
They have been around the local scene forever, and it’s always good to know they are out there somewhere maintaining the rage for the rest of us gronks. Meat Bikini is a North Queensland Prunck band that likes to slap you about the ears with big meaty slabs of sound – MORE MEAT PER BEAT!
